Quickly establishing itself as the North West’s most celebrated independent fashion event, Love Fashion: Manchester returns on Tuesday 30th September, celebrating the next generation of graduate and emerging designers.
Following the initial launch success at last year’s Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, the free day festival is back for its third instalment as part of the citywide MCR Student Takeover; an exclusive evening of shopping events, big discounts, music and fashion organised by the Heart of Manchester BID.
Visitors to the Love Fashion: Manchester pavilion in St Ann’s Square will get to preview exclusive collections from fashion graduates, new labels, independent brands and online boutiques whilst a series of catwalk shows take place throughout the day, with artwork by students at the Manchester School of Art providing a backdrop.
Just some of the brands on offer include:
Award winning ethical womenswear label Mia by Mia Nisbet
Online fashion store Didi’s Boutique
Womenswear by designer Sumaya Deria
Manchester School of Art graduate Rianna Phillips range of luxury accessories
Alternative streetwear from Green House Boutique
Statement jewellery and accessories from Hoochie Mama
Contemporary sustainable designs by Origin68
New menswear fashion label Uneducated Clothing
Aspiring fashion writers can sign up for a fashion blogging workshop, getting hints and tips with a Q&A session hosted by some of the North West’s most prolific bloggers. Model scouts from Cliché will be on the lookout for new faces, whilst urban trend spotter The Mancorialist will be on hand to capture the street style from the fashion-forward crowd.
The soundtrack to the party will be provided by ‘The Nation’s Saving Grace of Alternative Rock ‘n’ Roll’, DJ’s Remake Remodel, and El Capo NQ promise to spice things up with Mexican style tapas street food.
Love Fashion: Manchester will take place in St Ann’s Square, Manchester on Tuesday 30th September 2014 from 12 noon– 9pm. Entrance is free, and more information can be found at www.lovefashionuk.com.
